ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
1. Minutes of Meeting of December 12, 2011.
NEW BUSINESS:
1)
UPDATE ON ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROCESS FOR UPOLU AIRPORT (15
Minutes) - The NKCDP AC will provide an update on the environmental review process
for the Upolu Airport.
2)
USE OF LARGE LIGHTED SIGNS FOR DISTRIBUTING IMPORTANT INFORMATION
(15 Minutes) – The NKCDP AC will discuss the use of large lighted signs as identified in
Strategy 4.4 of the NKCDP.
OLD BUSINESS:
3) NKCDP AC SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS (30 minutes) – NKCDP AC members will
report on the recent activity of the subcommittees:
a. Growth Management – The subcommittee will report on land use applications
submitted to the Planning Department including the following subdivision

applications; Kohala Ranch Development Corp; L-Three Holdings; James
Sargent; and the Lee Revocable Trust application.
b. Public Access – The Subcommittee will provide an update about the activities at

f. Agriculture – No report.

lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in
any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or
administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15,
Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}

later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable
