PRESENTATIONS:
1) PLANNING DEPARTMENT LAND USE PERMIT REVIEW TIMELINES (10 minutes) – Allen Salavea
will provide the NKCDP AC a presentation on various timelines and review protocols of land use
permits submitted to the Planning Department.
REPORTS:
2) LAND USE PERMIT ACTIVITY REPORT (10 minutes) – Report on Planning Department permits
received in North Kohala last month:
a. Allen Salavea NKCDP Project Manager.
b. Growth Management Subcommittee.
NEW BUSINESS
3) Action Committee Restructuring (20 minutes) – Bob Martin will lead a discussion on the restructuring of
the NKCDP AC
4) SUCCESSION PLANNING AND ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS FOR NKCDP AC (20 minutes) –
Discussion on recruitment efforts and election of new officers for the NKCDP AC.

5) PROPOSED SUBCOMMITTEE RESTRUCTURING BY BOB MARTIN (20 minutes) – Bob Martin will
propose restructuring of the NKCDP AC subcommittees.

6)NORTH KOHALA CDP WEBSITE (15 minutes) – Update on current status the North Kohala CDP section
of the COH CDP website.
a.Report on related web-sites.
7)2010 ANNUAL REPORT CONTAINING IMPLEMENTATION WORK PLANS DEVELOPED BY THE
SUBCOMMITTEES (20 minutes) – Review
draft Annual Report containing the 2010 Implementation
Work Plans developed by the NKCDP AC subcommittee.
8)NKCDP AC SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS (30 minutes) – NKCDP AC members will report on the recent
activity of the subcommittees:
a.
Growth Management,
b.
Public Access,
c.
Infrastructure,
d.,
Affordable Housing
e.Mahukona and Kapa’a Park,
f.Boat Ramp Survey and Process.
g.Other subcommittees
9)COMMUNITY MEETING TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR February 5, 2011 (20 minutes) – The NKCDP
AC will discuss the logistical and coordination details for the first annual community meeting sponsored
by the AC.

communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code} Anyone who requires an

the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five days prior to the meeting date, to arrange
for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with
