REPORTS:
1) LAND USE PERMIT ACTIVITY REPORT (10 minutes) – Report on Planning Department permits
received in North Kohala last month:
a. Allen Salavea NKCDP Project Manager.
b. Growth Management Subcommittee.
NEW BUSINESS
2) WAIMEA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION – Sherman Warner, current President of Waimea Community
Association (WCA) will discuss how the WCA conducts its business and the relationship with County of
Hawaii and other agencies.
OLD BUSINESS:
3)PLANNING DEPARTMENT LAND USE PERMIT REVIEW TIMELINES (10 minutes) – Allen Salavea will
provide the NKCDP AC a presentation on various timelines and review protocols of land use permits
submitted to the Planning Department.

ACTION COMMITTEE RESTRUCTURING (20 minutes) – discussion on the restructuring of the
NKCDP AC

SUCCESSION PLANNING AND ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS FOR NKCDP AC (20 minutes) –
Discussion on recruitment efforts and election of new officers for the NKCDP AC.
6)NORTH KOHALA CDP WEBSITE (15 minutes) – Update on current status the North Kohala CDP section
of the COH CDP website.
a.Report on related web-sites.
7)2010 ANNUAL REPORT CONTAINING IMPLEMENTATION WORK PLANS DEVELOPED BY THE
SUBCOMMITTEES (20 minutes) – Review
draft Annual Report containing the 2010 Implementation
Work Plans developed by the NKCDP AC subcommittee.
8)NKCDP AC SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS (30 minutes) – NKCDP AC members will report on the recent
activity of the subcommittees:
a.
Growth Management, Cultural, Historical Preservation

Agriculture
c.
Public Access,
d.
Infrastructure A,
e.
Infrastructure
f.Affordable Housing.
9)COMMUNITY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 19, 2011 (20 minutes) – The NKCDP AC will
discuss the logistical and coordination details for the first annual community meeting sponsored by the
AC.

date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual

communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code} Anyone who requires an

the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five days prior to the meeting date, to arrange
for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with
