STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS:
ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
1. Minutes of Meetings of September 12, 2011
2. Recruitment of NKCDP AC Members
REPORTS
1) REDISTRICTING REPORT (5 Minutes) Report on the proposed redistricting that is performed every
10 years after the census is completed.
2) LAND USE PERMIT ACTIVITY REPORT (10 minutes) Rosalind Newlon, NKCDP Project Manager
will report on Planning Dept. permits received in the previous month for the North Kohala district.
NEW BUSINESS:
3) SUBCOMMITTEE GOALS AND WORKPLANS (15 minutes) The NKCDP AC will review the goals,
objectives and work plans of the Subcommittees for 2011-2012.
4) IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NKCDP (20 minutes) The NKCDP AC will review and discuss the
Implementation Matrix, Section 5.3 of Chapter 5 of the NKCDP.

OPEN OCEAN AQUACULTURE SUBCOMMITTEE (15 minutes) - The Subcommittee will report on

OLD BUSINESS:
6) NKCDP AC SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS (30 minutes) NKCDP AC members will report on the
recent activity of the subcommittees:
a. Growth Management The subcommittee will report on land use applications submitted to the
Planning Department.
b. Public Access The subcommittee will report on Upolu Airport ground restoration; Stewardship
Plan status; Harrison Family Trust subdivision application; and Kauhola Point status.
c. Infrastructure A The subcommittee will report on next steps for the water issues; Mahukona
Beach Park restoration and the action steps for the nonprofit park management project.
d. Infrastructure B The subcommittee will provide updates on ongoing efforts of rural
infrastructure and erosion prevention methods; electricity reliability, redundancy, and the
proposed electric loop route.
e. Affordable Housing The subcommittee will provide updates on affordable housing and land.
f. Agriculture The subcommittee will provide an update from their meeting on developing a
strategic plan to achieve 50% food self reliance and report on community harvest day.
