POLICE CHIEF'S REPORT ON DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES Including, but not limited to: • Crime report by area, category, and trends. • Traffic report by area, category, and trends. • Personnel report on vacancies, recruitment, training, promotions, reallocations, severance from service, and work assignments. • Finance report of budget and expenditures. EXECUTIVE SESSION To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai'i Police Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, to conduct a mid- year evaluation of the Police Chief, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawai'i County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). • Police Chief Harry Kubojiri's Mid -Year Status Report and Evaluation by the Police Commission. • Investigation and Deliberation of Complaints ✓ HPC 12 -13: Complainant's wallet was stolen. She alleged that an officer let the suspect go, and that there was lack of response from the officer. ✓ HPC 12 -14: Complainant alleged that an officer took her to the hospital against her will. ✓ HPC 12 -24: Complainant alleged that an officer mistreated him at the police station. ✓ HPC 12 -25: Complainant complained about the manner in which two police vehicles were driven. ✓ HPC 12 -27: Complainant alleged that an officer's report was full of lies and slander. ✓ HPC 12 -28: Complainant alleged that about twelve years ago, an officer arrested him in error.
