<br />NKCDP Infrastructure A Subcommittee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 3, 2012 <br />Participants: Bill Aierstuck, Giovanna Gherardi, Andi Longpre, John winter, Toni <br />Withington and Kate Sterling, MCCC coordinator <br />Clarification of Subcommittee and MCCC relationship <br /> MCCC directly reports to Bob Fitzgerald, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />· <br /> Infrastructure A needs to keep the community informed of changes and <br />· <br />improvements occuring within the parks including Mahukona <br /> Subcommittee members requested that Kate send us a copy of MCCC <br />· <br />roles and responsibilities and will keep us informed of MCCC issues, <br />concerns and actions. She will check with the MCCC members to <br />regarding this request Email address for MCCC <br />MahukonaCCC@gmail.com <br />Other comments/issues regarding Mahukona Beach Park <br /> Kate reported that keawe trees have been cut and new campsites created <br />· <br />Action: <br /> John will set up a meeting with the Friends of Mahukona to clarify what is <br />· <br />happening <br /> Giovanna to contact Bob Fitzgerald to clarify our interface role with the <br />· <br />him and the various parks in North Kohala <br />BillÂ’s Water Line ProposalÂ…next steps/actions to be taken <br /> Subcommittee needs to take an active role in moving this project forward <br />· <br /> Meet with Dr. Besio, University of Hawaii, Hilo and Rick Watts, Rural <br />· <br />Water Association to develop a Memorandu, of Understanding <br /> Develop a survey to identify who are users of Well #1 and who wants to <br />· <br />participate in the project <br /> Subcommittee to be responsible for the UH student to include oversight <br />· <br />training, grading, guidance and other responsibilities as needed. <br /> Bill will take responsible for scheduling the meeting with Rick Watts and <br />· <br />Dr. Besio <br /> Subcommittee to meet 8:30 am Tuesday, July 10 at the Nanbu Courtyard <br />· <br />to determine the components of this project which will be presented at the <br />above meeting to draw up the MOU <br />Renaming our subcommittee <br /> Members to think about this and we will decide at the July 10 meeting. <br />· <br />Note: Bill new email address billmelodykapaau@gmail.com <br />
