NORTH KOHALA HOUSING REPORT <br />Meeting Notes <br />February 20, 2012 (Old Courthouse 4:30pm) <br />Present: Jack Hoyt, April Lee, and Collin Kaholo <br />Call to order: 4:30pm <br />1. Catholic Charity: Monthly meeting were cancel for February. Catholic Charity is In support <br />of Education, for the young family economic reality check. Family supports, are needed for future home <br />owner, on affordable or self -help homes. To include rental units is one of their goals. <br />2. Self help: (Kamakua Project) This project is on schedule, and moving along very well in <br />support of the future Home owner. This project is in line with strategy 3.2: Self Help Housing <br />3. Affordable Housing: Committee is looking at family economic reality check education <br />program, to help anyone in purchasing their future homes. Education will give the family a boost in their <br />application status in support of self -help home and loans. <br />4. Partnership /Housing Program: Solicit North Kohala Resource Center, State and County <br />Government, Private Enterprise. <br />Housing Committee Next Community Meeting: <br />a. date: Mar. 19, 2012, <br />b. location: Senior Center. <br />c. Time: 4:30pm <br />
