POLICE CHIEF’S REPORT ON DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES Including, but not limited to: Crime report by area, category, and trends. Traffic report by area, category, and trends. Personnel report on vacancies, recruitment, training, promotions, reallocations, severance from service, and work assignments. Finance report of budget and expenditures. NEW BUSINESS Discussion on the election of Chair and Vice Chair for 2013. (CLOSED SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30 A.M.) EXECUTIVE SESSION To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai‘i Police Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety, to discuss the annual evaluation of the Police Chief, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawai‘i County Charter Section 13-20 (b). Investigation and deliberation of Complaint HPC 12-36:Complainant alleged that officers did not arrest people who illegally video recorded him and that his complaint was not investigated. Status report of internal and referred complaints. Discussion on annual evaluation of Police Chief Harry Kubojiri which will be done in December. (OPEN SESSION) ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS Complaint HPC 12-36 ANNOUNCEMENTS The Police Commission’s next monthly meeting will be on December 21, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., in the Aupuni Center Conference Room, 101 Pauahi St., Hilo, Hawai‘i.
