In order to expedite confirmation of these <br />nominations in time for the December 11, 2012 meeting of the Puna CDP Action Committee I <br />respectfully request waiver from reading before committee and that these nominations be <br />considered by the full Council at the earliest opportunity. <br />Conant, June M.: Ms. Conant has a BA in French and Art Education and a MA in Education. <br />Since moving to Hawaiian Paradise Park 8 years ago she has been very active in local <br />community groups including the Hilo Women's Club (past VP & Treasurer), Hawaiian Paradise <br />Park Owners Association (President), Imiloa-DOCENT Volunteer, HPP Seniors (past VP) and <br />serves as a Destination Hilo Aloha Ambassador at the Hilo Pier. Her experience as a teacher and <br />community volunteer working with both state and county officials on issues of vital concern to <br />the Hawaiian Paradise Park Owners Association will further broaden the overall perspective of <br />the Puna CDP Action Committee. <br />Daun, Sharon R.: Ms. Daun resides in Fern Forest and has a BS in workforce education with <br />emphasis on engineering technology. She has also completed the Educational Leadership <br />Master's Program at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and taught Engineering Technology <br />at the College of Southern Nevada. Since moving to the area 5 years ago Sharon has been an <br />active volunteer in numerous grass roots projects in the Mountain View community. Some of <br />these include the Hoiwaiwai Network, chair of the Friends of Mt. View Gym and Recreation <br />Center, and the Mt. View Planning Committee for a ML View Village Center Plan.
