Notes from Growth Management Subcommittee Meeting November 5, 2012
Attendees: Jim Pedersen, Jeff Allen, Jesse Wells, and Hermann Fernandez
The subcommittee reviewed the tentative subdivision approval letter for the
James Sargent 5-lot subdivision in Hawi. Jim Pedersen explained the conditions
required to obtain final subdivision approval. The main requirements are
providing potable water and fire suppression water to all lots, and paving Hua
Lane and the roadway inside the subdivision.
Hermann announced the new Planning Dept policy: the Planning Director will
inform the NKCDP AC Chair promptly of major new land use permit applications
in North Kohala. Hopefully, this will allow the AC to make timely comments to the
Planning Dept. regarding pending applications.
Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6:00 7:00
pm at Suretys office in Hawi.
