Success A New Job
Have you noticed a difference at the Kamana Senior Center in the last three years. It is because of Jean
Andrade who enrolled in STEP in April 2010 as a Maintenance and Grounds Beautification Aide. She
kept the restrooms and classrooms clean and the Japanese garden well groomed. While on STEP her
supervisor was Roann Okamura who is the current EAD Director. Her dedication and hard work was
greatly appreciated by all. Her hard work did not go unnoticed. When her STEP enrollment ended she
was hired in an emergency hire position as a Recreation Technician I by the Parks & Recreation Dept.
Dedication and hard work really does payoff. Congratulations Jean!
