Stroh Secretary A g e n d a Thursday, April 25, 2013 10:00 a.m. County Council Room 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, Hawai‘i 1) Call to Order 2) Statements from the Public on Agenda Items 3) Approval of Minutes of March 27, 2013 4) Old Business A) Discussion and appropriate action on the necessity of having an elected Secretary from the Salary Commission based on the fact that there is a staff recording secretary preparing the minutes and administering Commission support. 5) Unfinished Business A) Review of existing pay plan to include restructuring of current salaries of executives and elected officials and adjusting salaries accordingly. o Discussion, deliberation, and appropriate action on the subcommittee’s (permitted interaction group’s) March 27, 2013 report and recommendations. 6) Schedule Next Meeting Date 7) Adjournment The meeting place is accessible to individuals with disabilities. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (hereinafter “HRS”) §92-3.5, the Hawai‘i County Salary Commission will be conducting this meeting via videoconference. If audio stream between Hilo and Kona is lost for more than a short period of time, the meeting will be terminated. Salary Commission members will be present at the following locations: o County Council Room, County Building, 25 Aupuni Street, First Floor, Room 1401 o Kona Council Room, West Hawai‘i Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Building A (Pursuant to HRS §92-7, Salary Commission member George Handgis may be participating from the above location.) Public attendance via videoconference will be available at both of the above locations. Public attendance via videoconference will also be available at: o Waimea Council Office, Holomua Center, 64-1067 Mamalahoa Highway, Suite 5 Submitting testimony: Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring ten (10) copies for distribution. Public testimony may also be submitted before 12:00 noon on the business day prior to the meeting: 1) by mail to the Salary Commission, 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 2, Hilo, Hawai‘i, 96720; 2) by facsimile to (808) 961-8617; or 3) by email to vmenezes@co.hawaii.hi.us. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai`i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist [Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai`i County Code].
