5:00 P.M at Kohala Intergenerational Center Picnic Table Area
PRESENT: Toni Withington, Andi Longpre
1. Reviewed and passed the minutes of the April 18,2013 Subcommittee meeting;
2. Reviewed and edited letter to the DWS re: community water meeting of March
4,2013. We agreed that we want to inform the DWS of our concerns re:possible
health issues in the community that may be related to "spaghetti lines" such as (a)
the decrease in pressure and chlorine levels and (b) the increased risk of leaks due
to the "spaghetti lines ".
3. We tabled a discussion re: Emergency Road Access(Strategy 4.6) of the CDP until
our next meeting.
4. NEXT MEETING AGENDA: (A) Review the "Report on Polulu" meeting of August
2011 in order to prepare for an open community meeting to address safety issues at
Polulu.
(B) Confirm which agencies, such as Public Works, Dept of Transportation have
jurisdiction re: Polulu and Emergency Access Roads and invite representatives to a
Sub - committee meeting in preparation for a community meeting.
(C) Review Strategy 4.6 re: Emergency Road Access.
(C) NEXT MEETING: It was agreed that our meeting time would continue to be on
the last Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at the Intergenerational Ctr. On June 25tH.
