1. Minutes of the Meeting of June 10, 2013.
Report by Planning Department regarding NKCDP AC request for website (including
Facebook) and posting of documents(10 Minutes).
SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS
1)
NKCDP AC members will report on the
NKCDP AC Subcommittee Reports (30 minutes)
recent activity of the subcommittees:
a. Growth Management The subcommittee will report on land use applications
submitted to the Planning Department.
b. Public Access The subcommittee will provide updates on: Akoakoa Point (Bird
Cave); Hapuu-Kapanaia; Kauhola Lighthouse; Halelua; Pahoa Beach; Upolu Airport
east end of runway; Upolu Airport area restoration; Coast Guard Road; Puakea Bay
Ranch; Ranch at Puakea; Latitude 20 (land south of Paoo); Kaiholena; Kohala Kai;
Grant of easement documents; and Old Government roads and rail roads
.
c. Water, Parks and Roads The subcommittee will provide an update on the water,
parks and roads projects.
d. Power, View Planes and Erosion Control - The subcommittee will provide updates on
continuing efforts in rural infrastructure, view plane protection, and electricity reliability
and redundancy.
e. Affordable Housing The subcommittee will provide updates on affordable housing
and land

f. Agriculture The subcommittee will provide updates on the following projects:
Important Agricultural Land Initiative; strategically sited agricultural lands; soil testing;
sustainable agricultural and sustainable agricultural water development; agricultural
educational programs; and diversified agriculture.
