1. Gorse Control - An Informational briefing presented by Mike Robinson of the DHHL
Land management division. Investigate partnership and take action.
2. Special committee update on Congressional Sportsmen Caucus/Foundation.
3. Report on legislative session update 2013 and district CIP.
VII.Old Business:
1.Update on Hawaii Administrative Rule Changes to Chapter 124.
In response to public inquire the GMAC would like to know if the Mayor would generate
a letter to the BLNR opposing the amendment changes to HAR-124. A determination
needs to be made to address what part or parts or in its entirety. We need discussion
and action.
2.Improve animal salvage with discussion and objectives to reduce waste.
3.Hawaii Island Game Management Plan - Prepare a formal letter to DLNR Chair William
Aila asking for his presence at our next GMAC meeting. The purpose, to give us the
status of the Hawaii Game Management Plan, the Puʻu Waʻawaʻa and Puʻu Anahulu
Habitat Conservation Plans, the percentage of monies DLNR receives from USF&W and
Explain priority 1 &2 of the Watershed plan and its impact to sustainable hunting.
Discussion followed by immediate action.
VIII.New Business:
1. Form a permitted working group pursuant to HRS Section 92-2.5, the GMAC
proposes to form a permitted working group whose members shall investigate and
initiate discussions with DOFAW personnel for the purpose of gathering information
and assisting the Access and Acquisitions Coordinator to improve hunting
opportunities by increasing access to public lands.
2. Formation of permitted interaction group. Pursuant to HRS Section 92-2.5, the
Game Management Advisory Commission proposes to form a permitted interaction
group whose members shall investigate and initiate discussions with Kamehameha
Schools for the purpose of gathering information on the process and procedure of a
hui/group to perform mammal management, and to discuss possible short- and
long-term leases.
3. A request by the people was made to obtain the 1998 stipulation pertaining to the
Federal mandate to remove ungulates from Mauna Kea, specifically were it states
the public is to be included in the logistic planning of the semi-annual aerial
missions and thus request us to investigate and recommend action.

videoconference. Game Management Advisory Commission members will be present at the
following location(s), where the public is invited to participate:

1501, Hilo, HI, and
West Hawai‘i Civic Center, Council Conference Room, Building A,
74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Highway,
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or
language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Office of the Mayor at
961-8211 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting
date, to arrange for accommodations. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the
Hawai‘i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. {Article15, Section 2-91.3(b),
Hawai‘i County Code. “A lobbyist is any individual who is engaged for pay or other
consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month
period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or Administrative action by
communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.”
