TIME: 9:00 a.m. (Regular Meeting) PLACE: County of Hawai'i Aupuni Center Conference Room, 101 Pauahi Street, Hilo, HI 96720 B. TIME: 11:00 a.m. (Site Visit) PLACE: Hilo Wastewater Treatment Plant, 150 Keknanao`a Street, Hilo, HI 96720 Members of the public must have their own transportation to the site. Meeting will recess during transit and reconvene in front of the Wastewater Treatment Plant site. For directions and further information, please see item 10 below. CALL TO ORDER & ANNOUNCEMENTS 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — July 31, 2013 APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND /OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA (requires six (6) votes, and must comply with HRS § 92 -7(d)) 4. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS REPORTS /CORRESPONDENCE Director's Report, including: o Status Update on the Sort Station to include the percentage amount of rubbish being diverted from the landfills and operating costs Commission Member District Update Reports — includes information obtained from meetings with council members and district residents since the last commission meeting UNFINISHED BUSINESS • Update on efforts to procure a Waste To Energy (WTE) facility • Update on Department of Environmental Management /Department of Water Supply billing efforts NEW BUSINESS Referral of Resolution No. 123 -13, Draft 2 for comments and recommendations of the Environmental Management Commission Discussion of the decision - making process and timeline on re- evaluation of the County solid waste programs and direction Presentation on the Composting Process FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Sewer Connection Waiver/Exemption Policy Update to include expected date of implementation Sunshine Law Presentation by the Department Director 9.
