1.Design review of a proposed expansion of semi-enclosed courtyard seating area for
Dolphin Spit Saloon at ‘Ilima Court commercial center. Applicant: Peter J. Piper.
Land Owner: FPA North Kona Associates LLC and Queen Lili‘uokalani Trust.
TMK: 7-4-010:039. Located at 74-5629 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona, at the
intersection of Palani Road and Kuakini Highway (mauka – Kohala corner).
2.Review of a Sign Variance application for a proposed wall sign for Anderson Wealth
Planning, Inc. Applicant: Anderson Wealth Planning, Inc. Landowner: ATC Realty
One LLC, Barbara J. Bohnenkamp Trust, Clarence S. Rapoza Trust, and Julie Ann
Viloria Trust. TMK: 7-5-004:058. Located at 75-1000 Henry Street, in the former
“Borders Books” building at the southeast corner of Henry Street/Queen Ka‘ahumanu
Highway intersection.
3.Review of prior applicant’s compliance with Kailua Village Design Commission
landscaping recommendations and conditions of Final Plan Approval. Landowner:
Hawaii Electric Light Company. TMK: 7-4-010:022. Location: 74-5519 Kaiwi
Street (HELCO baseyard, substation, engineering and customer service facilities).

Notice: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County Clerk within
five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawai‘i County Code}.
A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend
more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of
attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging
others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (a) (6), Hawai‘i
County Code.}
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or
language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at
961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting
date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to
communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or
physically challenged.
