Pursuant to Rule 1-16 of the Rules and Regulations of the Liquor
Commission of the Department of Liquor Control of the County of Hawai‘i,
State of Hawai‘i, submits e-mail dated November 27, 2012, received
November 27, 2012, to temporarily amend conditions placed on its liquor
license.

The following are the conditions imposed by the Liquor Commission at its
meeting held on June 3, 2004:
1) Any amplification devices for speech and music shall be prohibited after
10:00 P.M. for outdoor activities at the north end, or the Keauhou Bay
end of the site where alcoholic beverages are served.
On August 5, 2010 the Liquor Commission imposed the following additional
conditions:
1) That the hotel shall continue to notify the Department of Liquor
Control about its special events.
2) The sound levels to be maintained by the Hotel on a consistent basis
shall not exceed 55 decibel rating at the property line of the hotel.
3) If a status report is required, it shall be at the discretion of the
Department.
The following are the proposed amendments requested by the Licensee:
1) Request permission for Kona Surf Partners LLC, dba Sheraton Kona
Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay to have a Hawaiian band and
beverage stations following dinner service at Rays on the Bay.
Music to end at 12:30 A.M. Last call to be at 12:15 A.M. Event to be
serviced by both Rays on the Bay staff and banquet staff as part of
its New Year’s Eve celebration.
7. MNS, Ltd., dba ABC Store #62, dba ABC Store #63, dba ABC Store #71,
dba ABC Store #75;
by letters dated October 16 and 23, 2013, received
October 18 and 30, 2013, informs the Liquor Commission of the election of
Miles Ohye as Vice President (Mainland Division)/Director of MNS, Ltd.,
effective October 1, 2013.
8. Application No. 12-16, ,
Mid Pac Petroleum, LLC, dba Honoka‘a 76by
letter dated November 5, 2013, pursuant to Rule 4-2-L of the Rules and
Regulations of the Liquor Commission of the Department of Liquor Control
of the County of Hawai‘i, State of Hawai‘i, requests permission to extend
the time of issuance of its original Retail Beer and Wine liquor license for an
additional six months, to July 3, 2014.

ratification of Application for Alcohol Purchase
Permit; approved by Director Gerald Takase on November 19, 2013.
10. Hawaiian Food Services Group L.L.C., dba Kaimu Korner Store:
Pursuant to Rule 1-16 of the Rules and Regulations of the Liquor
Commission of the Department of Liquor Control of the County of Hawai’i,
State of Hawai’i, submits letter dated November 12, 2013, to temporarily
amend conditions placed on its liquor license.
The following condition was imposed by the Liquor Commission at its
meeting held on May 7, 2009: The licensed premises shall close for
business at 9:00 P.M. daily.
The following is the proposed amendment requested by the Licensee:
1) Requests permission for Hawaiian Food Services Group L.L.C.,
dba Kaimu Korner Store to remain open until 11:00 P.M. on
December 31, 2013.

Temporary Increase in Licensed Premises of the parking lot side/back of
the leased premises for a live and recorded music event held on
November 22, 2013, approved by Director Gerald Takase on November 21,

13. Application No. 12-20, Safeway Inc., dba Safeway – Hilo Fuel Center,
by letter dated November 25, 2013, pursuant to Rule 4-2-L of the Rules and
Regulations of the Liquor Commission of the Department of Liquor Control
of the County of Hawai‘i, State of Hawai‘i, requests permission to extend
the time of issuance of its original Retail General liquor license for an
additional six months, to August 7, 2014.
