PCDP AC Meeting CER Sub. Presentation Jan. 14, 2014
No meeting Dec. 2013, therefore, no subcommittee minutes for this meeting.
However, Subcommittee activity since Dec. 10, 2013 meeting has been as follows:
Dec. 91h — Presentation of presently gathered and preliminarily prioritized connectivity
suggestions collected at PREP Fair to Hawaiian Acres Community Association Board Meeting
Dec. 15th - Presentation of presently gathered and preliminarily prioritized connectivity
suggestions collected at PREP Fair to Hawaiian Acres Roads Committee
Development of Community Input Packet to:
1. Present preliminary input and rankings
2. Communicate with subdivisions and surrounding areas and encourage them to
communicate with their membership
3. Emphasize the importance of testifying at PCDP AC meetings to support their preferred
connectivity locations proposed
4. Provide timelines for testimony
5. Continue to involve Puna community members /residents in prioritization process until
lists are developed, approved and confirmed
Packet to include the following:
1. Cover Letter describing the great need in the Puna area for greater connectivity, how
the data being presented was collected and prioritized, need for further community
input and support, timeline to further prioritize needs prior to sending forth for
implementation
2. Criteria for Points of Connectivity, County and PCDP
3. Preliminary Prioritized Connectivity Locations
4. Connectivity Survey Form to respond to preliminary data and suggest further
connections
5. Maps of Puna and Subdivisions and Surrounding Areas to analyze present suggestions
and add new ones for connectivity points
Proposed timeline for PCDP AC Meeting Testimonies:
1. Puna Uka (Volcano to Hawaiian Acres) —February 10, 2014
2. Puna Waena (Hawaiian Acres to Pahoa) — March 11, 2014
3. Puna Kai ( Pahoa to All Makai Communities) — April 8, 2014
