Episcopal Church of Hawaii Re: Elevation Certificate 65-1253 Kawaihae Road Lot 11-B-1 Kamuela, HI 96743 Kamuela, South Kohala, HI 96743 Attn. Monty Muranda T.M.K 3-6-5-003-007 The above-mentioned property was the subject of a field survey on October 26, 2009, for the purpose of completing a FEMA Elevation Certificate and we find the following. The property is located to the North and to the West of Waikoloa Stream. Elevation measurements were taken and we find that the Highest Adjacent Grade (HAG) of subject property is situated above the stream bed some eight (e) to nine (9) feet and similarly the banks of the stream as it passes the subject property are eight (8) to nine (9) feet in height. The height of the opposite stream bank (the Southerly bank) was found to be consistently and significantly lower with a bank height of six (6) to seven (7) feet. Additionally the property adjacent to the previously mentioned Southerly bank consists of a paved parking lot with s torm water drainage structures (drywells) one of which is immediately adjacent to the top of bank. Local testimony and evidence in the field indicates that any high water inundation would occur away from the subject property and into the paved parking lot or downstream.
