Communication No. 2014-18 <br /> Aloha, <br /> am a 14-year resident of Fern Acres, a member of the Board of Directors <br /> as well as a team member of the new CERT team for Fern Acres. <br /> This letter is testimony in support for the S. Lauko Road extension for <br /> consideration. <br /> For all of the reasons that have been previouly stated in favor; For <br /> the safety of the Mountain View School students and their families, <br /> reduction of school hour traffic on the highway as well as a great reduction <br /> in potential for serious accidents, an access route for residents to get to the <br /> Village faster and easier, fulfillment of the long-term Village Plan for <br /> Mountain View and perhaps most important, <br /> a paved alternate route in case of emergency, The S. Lauko extension <br /> makes much sense. <br /> Please make this a reality for the residents of the upper Puna residents. It <br /> has a direct impact on the safety of Fern Acres, Hawaiian Acres and Kopua <br /> Farm Lots, especially given the potential for a long term flow from the Pu'u <br /> 'O'o vent/Kahauale'a flow path. <br /> Mahalo for your time and consideration, <br /> Claudia Ziroli <br />
