Summer Classes for Seniors Offered July 7 -
September 12
The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation invites kupuna to
enroll in language, music and other classes offered July 7 through
September 12 at senior centers island -wide.
Open to seniors at least 55 years old, classes typically cost $10 per person
for the 10 -week session. Registration ends Monday, July 14. To enroll,
please call 966-5801.
New this summer will be a SoulCollage® class offered at the Kea`au
Community Center. Instructor Christine Wolf will teach a creative and
satisfying collage process from 9 a.m. until noon Fridays at the center.
Participants will create their own deck of cards, with each collage card
representing one aspect of their personality or soul. Anyone, even those
who believe they have no artistic ability, can use the cards to answer life's
questions while embarking on a journey of self-discovery.
