Van Bergen <br />Deputy Director <br />Little Fire Ant Treatments Scheduled for Hawaii <br />County Parks <br />As part of its ongoing efforts to control little fire ants at public recreational sites, the <br />Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation has scheduled treatments at the <br />following parks: <br />• Waiakeawaena Park in Hilo on Wednesday, October 8 <br />• Na`alehu Park on Thursday, October 9 <br />• Waiakea-Uka Park and Stanley Costales Waiakea-Uka Gym in Hilo on <br />Monday, October 13 <br />• Machado Acres Park in Hilo on Tuesday, October 14 <br />• `Ainaola Park in Hilo on Wednesday, October 15 <br />• `Ainak8 Park in Hila on Thursday nctnher 16 <br />• Hakalau Veterans Park on Thursday, October 16 <br />Weather permitting, the parks scheduled for treatment will be closed in the early <br />morning hours.
