Hilo's Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park Closing
October 18 for Community Cleanup
Hilo's Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park will be closed on Saturday, October 18,
while community volunteers clean the coastal park and beach areas.
Members of the East Hawaii Rotary Clubs, who were responsible for the

continuing efforts to further enhance the park.
Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park will reopen on Sunday, October 19, and operate
according to normal hours.
The Department of Parks and Recreation sends a special mahalo to these
Rotarians for their volunteer help. It also thanks park patrons and the
general public for their patience and understanding while enhancements
are made to Kuhio Kalaniana`ole Park.
