We are in receipt of your letter dated November 20, 2014, requesting consideration for an
Island -Wide Action Committee (AC) Council. As always, we welcome and appreciate input and
ideas from the various AC's and particularly regarding collaboration with the other AC's.
We can also see the benefits of convening a multi AC meeting to discuss specific strategies for
cross regional policy or project implementation. However, this type of multi AC collaboration
would need to be organized and initiated by the department rather than the AC's themselves_
We would also need to provide direction to the AC's and then plan the meeting to stay within the
parameters of the County Code and the Sunshine Law.
A structure for engaging each AC to provide comments related to their respective CDP's on the
General Plan Update are being made within the department and we will be communicating it to
the AC's within the first quarter of the upcoming year. Perhaps that may be the opportunity to
further explore implementation of your recommended proposal.

planning for our county.
