<br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, July 11, 2014 <br />Convened at <br />Waimea Center Suite 2C <br />65-1158 Mamalaoha Highway, Kamuela <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Hazel Beck at 9:10 a.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT EXCUSED <br />Hazel Beck, Chair Elena Cabatu (ex-officio) <br />Cyd Hoffeld, Vice Chair Margaret Masunaga (ex-officio) <br />Farrah-Marie Gomes, Secretary <br />Mele Spencer, Treasurer <br />Carol Kitaoka <br />Katie Nova <br />Kim Schneider <br />Brooke Derby <br />Roxanne Costa <br /> <br />A quorum was present. <br /> <br />NEW MEMBER WELCOME <br />A lei was presented to welcome newly appointed Hawaii County Committee on the Status of Women <br />member, Roxanne Costa. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />The Agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />The following are requests for addition to New Business for next month’s agenda: <br />1.Ladies Night Out <br /> <br />2.Women’s Health Month <br /> <br />3.Review of By-Laws <br /> <br />4.Budget and discussion of treasurer’s report <br /> <br />5.Essay contest committee <br /> <br />6.CSW conference committee <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Kim motioned to approve, Mele seconded. The Minutes of the June 13, 2014 meeting was approved as <br />submitted.
