Meeting Notes
November 5, 2014 (Old Courthouse 4:30pm)

Akoakoa Point (Bird Cave)
NSTR – Nothing Significant to Report
Hapu'u – Kapanaia
Fred will get in touch with Kamehameha Schools to see if they are interested in purchasing lots 8 & 9 of Pacific
Plains, LLC because it is a cultural site.
These lots are also on the PONC list for public purchase.
Halelua

Kauhola Lighthouse
A neighboring subdivision has built a road on the east side of the existing access road to the old lighthouse area.
MKOKI (Maikai Kamakani O Kohala) has an access road that is being used and is being trashed by the users.
Halaula Mill Road

Ainakea – Makai
NKCAG Wrote a letter to the Planning Director to comment on Ainakea access.
Terry Dunlap is the contact of the Kona Planning Department

Kaiholena Lot F
Hawaii Island Land Trust (HILT) is working on the remaining funding to complete the purchase.
If the purchase is made, HILT will hold the conservation easement.
The Ala Kahakai Trail Association will be the purchaser.
Kohala Shoreline, LLC
A walk thru is scheduled for November 15th and should meet at the Kohala parking area at 7:15 am to start
walk at 7:30 am.
After the fact: The walk had been canceled on that day

Announcements
There will be a meeting on the Kaloko-Honokahau water issue from 6:30 pm till 7:30 pm at the Visitor
Center on November 6, 2014.
There will be a meeting on November 13th at 5:30 pm in the Kohala High School Cafeteria regarding Power
View Plane which is the Parker Ranch Power Grid (Paniolo Power)
