Preservation Commission will provide the Action Committee with a brief presentation about the Commission and nomination of properties by the public for 2015 Bill Case, will provide the Action Committee with an overview of the Waimea 2. water system, past, present and future. Vas Podorean and Lani Yamasaki, will share with the Action Committee about 3. our community outreach program in relation to serving the vision and goals of the S. Kohala CDP. Liquid Robotics is a partner of the South Kohala Conservation Action Plan. As such, we have been conducting water quality monitoring at the request of Kailapa Community Association. and Puako Community Association. We also volunteer with NOAA to serve on rescue missions for marine mammals along the west coast of Hawaii Island. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS Minutes of the Meeting of January 26, 2015 and February 23, 2015 4. Valerie Poindexter and District 9 – Margaret Wille Sub-Committee Reports. 2.Action Committee will review sub-committee reports and recommended motions and discussion items to place on the next meeting agenda for action. a. - Joel Cohen Long Term Education Planning b. – Jojo Tanimoto, Joel Cohen, John General Plan Comprehensive Review Mueller - The Sub-Committee will report on discussions on potential amendments and comments to the General Plan Comprehensive Review which will be forwarded to the Planning Department. Please see attached for the Issues/Suggestion list. c. Jojo Tanimoto would like to initiate a discussion to create a transit hub project sub-committee. Discussion will include information regarding the project, the purpose of the subcommittee and identify what the sub-committee is to do or provide by what period of time. d. Other Reports – i. Liaison Reports 1. – John Mueller Waikoloa 2. - John Hoover Puako 3. Waimea Community Association - Christopher Roehrig/Joel Waimea/ Cohen 4. The Action Committee will review and 3. discuss the South Kohala Community Development Plan CIP project list for submission to the Planning Department for consideration. Jojo Tanimoto (or other AC members) will provide the AC an update on various 4. applications that the AC has been provided with information when the applications have been submitted. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ANNOUNCEMENTS  Next Meeting April 27, 2015 – Puako – Hokuloa Church ADJOURNMENT Notice: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}.
