Hawai'i Police Commission Meeting Agenda April 24, 2015 Page 2 EXECUTIVE SESSION The commission will meet in executive session to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities; to consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai'i Police Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety; and to conduct an annual evaluation of Police Chief Kubojiri pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawai'i County Charter Section 13-20 (b). EVALUATION OF POLICE CHIEF HARRY KUBOJIRI AND EMPLOYMENT MATTERS INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINT (Briefly summarized.) • HPC 15-01: Complainant alleged that an officer extorted money from him after a vehicle accident. • HPC 15-02: Complainant alleged that an officer threw him to the ground with such force that his teeth came out. • HPC 15-04: Complainant alleged that an officer was unprofessional during a traffic stop. HPC 15-05: Complainant alleged that the officer should have used his discretion and not cited him for parking in a prohibited area.
