Review of Clyde and Sarah's document combining Mountain View culture and history with our work to date of combining PCDP comments with our Survey results: This review took up almost the entirety of the meeting. Discussions covered how do we want to format the PCDP comments, are some not relevant to our Plan? Although we like having the Survey responses collated with the PCDP comments, there is a lot of redundancy here that will require editing. Discussion of our format, do we want to continue using the PCDP chapter headings, or do we need to add or subtract topics? How do we want to integrate our Culture and History, Asset and Survey documents into our written Plan? We looked at questions for the Planning Department. What are the advantages and disadvantages of including or excluding certain perimeter properties in our Village definition? How do we go about designating a "Light Industrial" area? How do we deal with Design Guidelines? We recognize that it would be unlikely that Mountain View area could support a Design Review committee. Do we simply recommend the Pahoa Guidelines? Can we supply any consultation to a potential developer? Our desire to have our plan published as a website, how do we go about doing this? We updated information on the progress of South Lauko Road, talks with Danny Paleka. The suggestion of an alternative route (Kopua) solves only the problem of providing an additional exit from Fern Acres, but does not address the safe route to Mountain View School, Mountain View Village or our "Light Industrial" area. Patti accepted the job of refining the written work we have accumulated to date. We adjourned at 7:30 NEXT MEETING: THURSDAY, MAY 14TH, 6:00 PM, MOUNTAIN VIEW SCHOOL CAFETERIA
