EXECUTIVE SESSION
The commission will meet in executive session to consult with Corporation Counsel on
questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities,
and liabilities; to consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawai'i
Police Department, to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety; and to conduct an
annual evaluation of Police Chief Kubojiri pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawai'i
County Charter Section 13-20 (b).
EVALUATION OF POLICE CHIEF HARRY KUBOJIRI AND EMPLOYMENT MATTERS
INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINT (Briefly summarized.)
• HPC 15-01: Reconsideration of decision of insufficient evidence of misconduct.
• HPC 15-02: Reconsideration of decision of insufficient evidence of misconduct.
• HPC 15-07: Complainant's vehicle was stolen, towed, and stored. She wants payment
for the tow company.
• HPC 15-08: Complainant alleged that an officer spoke to him in an unprofessional
manner.
• HPC 15-10: Complainant alleged that an officer retaliated against him by issuing him
false traffic citations because he filed a complaint against him.
