Kona Swimming Pool Closing for Repair,
Maintenance May 29 - June 3
The County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation announces it
will close the Kona Community Aquatic Center Friday, May 29, through
Wednesday, June 3, to perform needed repair and maintenance work.
Normal operations will resume Thursday, June 4, when the swimming pool
will reopen at 6:15 a.m. for public and recreational swimming.
During the temporary closure, the Department of Parks and Recreation will
replace restroom partitions, replace plumbing fixtures, install a new
circulation pump, and perform other related maintenance tasks.
The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks pool users and the
general public for their understanding and patience while the pool is being
improved.
