As its primary goal, the committee shall review and recommend action and providing guidelines to improve the quality of life for people of the county with disabilities. . Authority: Hawaii County Charter, Section 4-4 Appointment: Mayor, no confirmation required. Members are co-terminus with the Mayor. Full Membership: No specific number. Specific Representation: None required. Requirements: None. Meetings: Minimum six per year. Financial Disclosure: Not required. Reappointment: Per Mayor’s discretion. Qualities: Respected by the community as being community-minded and oriented. Able to focus on the community needs as a whole without catering to special or self-interest.
