Hawaii County Mayor Billy Kenoi, County Council Chairman Dru Mamo Kanuha, and

groundbreaking ceremony for a new park to be built in Holualoa's Alii Kai Subdivision. It
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at the park site located at 76-6183
Pakalana Road.
Join Mayor Kenoi, Council Chairman Kanuha and other dignitaries in commemorating
starting development of the 1.6 -acre neighborhood park. Refreshments and light pupu
will be served.
Kona-Ka`u Services and Supplies Inc. has been hired to build a children's playground,
accessible bathrooms and parking lot for the benefit and convenience of park patrons.
Additional work will include installation of lighting, fencing, a security gate, landscaping
and an irrigation system. Work is expected to be finished and the new park opened to
the public in March 2016.
When completed, the neighborhood park will be another example of Mayor Kenoi's
commitment to deliver new and improved recreational facilities that serve as safe
