MINUTES OF PARKS,WATER AND ROADS SUB-COMMITTEE
Attendance: Toni Withington,Carter Collins, Andi Longpre

PRATT ROAD: The responses to our January 30 2015 letter to
th
landowners have been very low. We sent out 48 letters and have
7 responses in letter format and one via e-mail. We discussed
when we ought to plan a meeting with the landowners and are
looking at either August or October.
SOLAR MATTERS: Carter Collins reported on his presentations to
the Facilities Committee of PATH (April 11th)and to the North
Kohala Resource Ctr. (May 14). (This topic is related to Strategy
th
4.6: Improving Existing Roadway Systems,pg.79 of the North
Kohala CDP ) .The topic was the feasibility of a solar bike path
for use by various communities in our geographic area(s). Both
groups requested additional information from Carter and he will
report back to us when he has complied with those requests.
PARKS: We have invited Jason Armstrong,Public Information
Officer from Parks & Rec. to meet with us on June 18 prior to

the public meeting re: Mahukona Harbor. We have asked him to
also invite whomever he finds to be the most appropriate person
from his Department to discuss the suggestions we have from
the Friends of the Park(s).
NEXT MEETING: Our next meeting will be Thursday June 18 @
