Mark Bartell on the Pros and Cons of the Air Land Water Advisory Committee in place of a dedicated Game Management Advisory Committee Statewide and whether now is the time to pursue it. 2. Dwayne D. "Ike" Yoshina to bring to the table a Draft of Rules for discussion of GMAC and how meetings will be conducted and public testimony received. 3. Draft of a Constitutional Amendment to validate Hawaii's Game Animals as a "natural resource". An alternative Concurrent Resolution to be introduced in the House and County of Hawaii is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting Agenda October 19, 2015 Page 2 Senate recognizing and protecting our Game Animals as a Natural Resource with the need to be managed in place of arbitrary eradication. 4. There are 49 new species being listed for Hawaii by the US Fish Wildlife Services. They are also proposing an Ecosystem Approach for the recovery management of these species. Discussion on Council Resolutions and asking the Mayor for a position or proclamation against such a management approach. The comment period of 60 -days began on September 30, 2015. VIII. New Business: 1. Division of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) to present the North Kona (Puuwaawaa and Puuanahulu) Habitat Conservation Plan to the Commission at the November 16,201S Game Management Advisory Commission Meeting. IX. Committee Reports: X. Commissioners Report by District XI. Next Meeting Date: November 16, 2015 Place to be announced. XII. Adjournment: (8:30PM) Executive Session: The Game Management Advisory Commission anticipates it may convene in one or more executive sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 and 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 213 vote pursuant to HRS Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive session. Anyone wishing to discuss an item that does not appear on the agenda should call the commission secretary at 323-4444 or email barb ara.kossow(ci),hawaiicounty.gov to have the subject placed on the next available agenda. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes (hereinafter "HRS") §92-3.5, the Hawai'i County Game Management Advisory Commission will be conducting this Committee meeting via videoconference.
