Communication No. 2015 -39 <br />PCDP Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency Response <br />Meeting — October 27, 2015 Keaau Community Center <br />5:00 p.m. <br />MINUTES <br />Call to Order: 5:07 p.m. <br />Present: Patti Pinto, June Conant, Russell Jones, Farris Etterlee, Marlene Hapai, Chair <br />Approval of September 22, 2015 Minutes <br />Old Business: <br />• Discussion of Ad hoc Committee initiated by Hawaii County Councilman, <br />Gregor Ilagan and Connectivity Location Site Visit scheduled for Friday <br />October 30, 2015 and those involved in the visit from the 4 council <br />districts representing Puna, Department of Public Works, Department of <br />Planning, Civil Defense, the Puna Community Development Plan Action <br />Committee and the PCDP Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency <br />Response. <br />• Need to schedule meetings prior to end of 2015 with the following to gain <br />support for connectivity implementation: <br />• Representative Gabbard <br />• Senator Schatz <br />o Senator Lorraine Inouye, State Senate Transportation Chair <br />New Business: <br />Open Discussion on Topics of Concern to CERS members and others in <br />attendance to include discussion of prior Action Committee and Council <br />CIPs specific to connectivity and emergency response and once again <br />including them in the PCDP Action Committee budget. <br />Next Meeting: November 24, 2015 Location: Keaau Community Center <br />Adjournment: 7:00 p.m. <br />
