PCDP Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency Response
Meeting — October 27, 2015 Keaau Community Center

MINUTES
Call to Order: 5:07 p.m.
Present: Patti Pinto, June Conant, Russell Jones, Farris Etterlee, Marlene Hapai, Chair
Approval of September 22, 2015 Minutes
Old Business:
• Discussion of Ad hoc Committee initiated by Hawaii County Councilman,
Gregor Ilagan and Connectivity Location Site Visit scheduled for Friday
October 30, 2015 and those involved in the visit from the 4 council
districts representing Puna, Department of Public Works, Department of
Planning, Civil Defense, the Puna Community Development Plan Action
Committee and the PCDP Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency
Response.
• Need to schedule meetings prior to end of 2015 with the following to gain
support for connectivity implementation:
• Representative Gabbard
• Senator Schatz
o Senator Lorraine Inouye, State Senate Transportation Chair
New Business:
Open Discussion on Topics of Concern to CERS members and others in
attendance to include discussion of prior Action Committee and Council
CIPs specific to connectivity and emergency response and once again
including them in the PCDP Action Committee budget.
