<br /> <br />WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I <br />ACTIONS <br />NOVEMBER 5, 2015 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.APPLICANT: BRAD McCLARY (REZ 15-193) <br />Application for a Change of Zone from Agricultural- 3 acres (A-3a) to Residential and <br />Agricultural- 1 acre (RA-1a) for 2.73 acres of land. The property is located along the south <br />side of Makalika Street, approximately 900 feet west of the Awa Street–Makalika Street <br />intersection, Pana‘ewa House Lots, South Hilo, Hawai‘i, TMK: 2-2-052:027. <br /> <br />Favorable recommendation to the County Council with proposed conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />2.APPLICANT: MILO STREET VENTURES, INC. (REVOKE SPP 671) <br /> <br />Request for the revocation of Special Permit No. 671, originally approved by the Planning <br />Commission on August 15, 1988 and issued to Hawai‘i Anthurium Growers Cooperative to <br />allow for the establishment of a processing and packing facility for anthuriums and other <br />flowers and foliage on 2.082 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural <br />District. The property is located on the south side of Milo Street, approximately 500 feet <br />east of the Milo Street–Kea‘au Bypass intersection, Kea‘au, Puna, Hawai‘i, TMK: 1-6- <br />152:020 (formerly TMK: 1-6-003:021). <br /> <br />Permit revoked. <br /> <br /> <br />3.APPLICANTS: MINORU JR. & KATHERINE TAKEHIRO (SLU15-043/REZ15-194) <br /> <br />Applications for a State Land Use Boundary Amendment from an Agricultural to an Urban <br />district and a Change of Zone from an Agricultural-3 acre (A-3a) to Residential and <br />Agricultural-.5 acre (RA-.5a) zoning district for approximately 2.666 acres of land. The <br />property is located on the southwest corner of the Mamaki Street-Awa Street intersection, <br />nd <br />Panaʻewa House Lots 2 Series, Waiākea, South Hilo, Hawaiʻi, TMK: 2-2-056:002. <br /> <br />Favorable recommendation to the County Council, with proposed conditions for the <br />Change of Zone request. <br /> <br /> <br />4.APPLICANT: HAWAI‘I VISION SPECIALISTS (USE 15-054) <br />Application for a Use Permit to establish and operate a medical office, clinic and related <br />facilities on approximately 1.5 acres of land situated within the County’s Single-Family <br />Residential-7,500 square feet (RS-7.5) and Multiple Family Residential–1,000 square feet <br />(RM-1) zoning districts. The project site is located at the intersection of Kapi‘olani Street <br />st <br />and Hualālai Street to the west (mauka) of the Hilo Police Station, Kukua‘u 1, South Hilo, <br />Hawai‘i, TMK: 2-4-025:049. <br /> <br />Approved with conditions. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
