HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-2 CERS minutes 22Dec15Communication No. 2016 -2 PCDP Subcommittee on Connectivity and Emergency Response Meeting — December 22, 2015 Keaau Community Center, 3:00 p.m. MINUTES Call to Order: 3:15 p.m. Call for Approval of Minutes as Circulated (November 24, 2015): Approved Present: Patti Pinto, Farris Etterlee, Marlene Hapai Old Business: • Update on Ad hoc Committee initiated by Gregor Ilagan Connectivity Location (CL) Site Visits — Friday October 30, 2015 Report regarding proposed Connectivity Locations TMK's and other supporting information to acquire connections Further research done by both Patti Pinto and Farris Etterlee and his office staff provided information on what actions might need to be taken to connect at roads recommended by the community and prioritized as those with greatest potential due to meeting both PCDP and County of Hawaii criteria most closely. Findings were as follows: Recommended and Visited CL • Kaleponi Drive to Punahele Ave. • Punahele Ave. to Apele Rd. Recommended Action CL road lot, need Eden Roc permission Eden Roc to Kopua, 20 acre lot, to include easement and /or linear park. Need Memorandum of Understanding between all subdivisions involved • Waimaka O PeleRd. to Orchid St. Need Memorandum of Understanding Between Fern Acres and County of HI • Orchid St. to Uhini Ana Rd. Need to buy lot, Hawaiian Acres (Rd. 1) • Pulelehua Rd. to 40th Ave. Includes house lot on HA side and road lot on Orchidland side. Connects Hawaiian Acres Rd. 11 to Orchidland 40th • Update on meeting schedule with the following to gain support for connectivity implementation: The following still need to be informed. • Representative Gabbard, Senator Schatz • Senator Lorraine Inouye, State Senate Transportation Chair New Business: • Open Discussion on Topics of Concern to CERS members and others in attendance: Discussion on Road widening of Kuauli which is the main road intersecting Highway 11 from Hawaiian Acres subdivision. Resolution 351 -15 has been put forward by Councilman Danny Paleka and will include providing right and left turn lanes from Highway 11 into Hawaiian Acres and from Hawaiian Acres to Highway 11.
