Hilo Trap and Skeet Range Closing for
Extensive Renovations Starting February 24
The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation
announces it will close the Hilo Trap and Skeet Range starting
Wednesday, February 24, so extensive renovations may be made
to the facility.
The Hilo Trap and Skeet Range is expected to remain closed
through August 2016 to allow for the installation of a new waste -
disposal system and accessibility upgrades that will make it ADA -
compliant. A follow-up announcement will be issued prior to the
range being reopened.
The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks range users for
their patience and understanding while it performs the renovation
work.
