Report of the Subcommittee on
Power, Viewplanes and Erosion Control
Part of the subcommittee's report is the presentation by high school
students working on the Upolu Airport Soil Erosion Control Project.
The program was supported by Malama Kohala Kahakai and was the
senior project for two of the students.
For this month subcommittee members have been following the
proceedings of the Public Utilities Commission on switching to
alternative power sources and a Kona landowners dispute over
vegetation on one lot obstructing the views of another lot.
