Hilo to Host 14th Annual Big Island
Senior Line Dance Roundup June 3
The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation invites the public
to watch kupuna from around the state perform at the 14th Annual Big
Island Senior Line Dance Roundup Friday, June 3, at the Afook-Chinen
Civic Auditorium in Hilo.
The event starts at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities
Division, this year's event is called "Can't Stop Dancing." Groups from
Kona, Waimea, Hilo, Kea'au, Pahoa and Mountain View will join visiting
dancers from Oahu and Maui.
This year's Line Dance Roundup will again feature the popular "mass
dance" that gives audience members a chance to join in the fun.
