TAX BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Appeal Hearings <br />Tuesday, October 16, 2012 <br />County Building - Puna Conference Room <br />Hilo, Hawaii <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Albert Kualii called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. <br />Present were: Board Members Albert Kualii, Wesley Takai and Michael D'Amico; Deputy <br />Corporation Counsel Craig Masuda; Real Property Assistant Tax Administrator Lisa <br />Nahoopii; Real Property Tax Appraisal Supervisor Jon Pike and Board Secretary Elizabeth <br />Nina Swain. <br />Absent was: Board Member Scott Church <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />There were no statements from the public. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Board Members were provided with copies of the September 11, 12, 25 and 26 meeting <br />minutes. Corrections and/or revisions were noted as follows: <br />September 25 page 3 Case Nos. 19227 and 19063, TMK 1-3-046-053-0000 <br />Appellant: Ownbey, Jeffrey <br />Withdrawn Cases <br />Mr. Takai requested that a notation be added to the <br />minutes to reflect the fact that Case No. 19227 was an <br />appeal on an amended notice for Tax Year 2011 and Case <br />No. 19063 was an appeal for Tax Year 2012. Minutes to <br />be noted as such. <br />September 26 pages 2, 3 Case No. 19290, TMK 2-8-015-031-0000 <br />Appellant: Ahava Properties Inc <br />Mr. Takai requested that a notation be added to the <br />minutes to reflect the fact that the appellant's <br />representative, Mr. Abraham, appeared at 9:50 a.m. after <br />the case had been ruled upon. Case was scheduled for <br />9:00 a.m. Mr. Takai further requested that the minutes <br />reflect that, although not required, the Board had verbally <br />
