A. Minutes of the Meeting of May 9, 2016.
B. Reminder that subcommittees are to forward recommendations for actions
and correspondence through the Action Committee for approval.

IV. BUSINESS OF COMMITTEE
A. Update on the General Plan Comprehensive Review: The Planning Director
initiated a comprehensive review of the General Plan in 2015. Staff from the
Planning Department's Long Range division will provide an update on
progress and a preview of next steps.
B. Guest speaker, Mr. Jay Ignacio, of Hawaii Electric Light, will provide
information on a proposed transmission line to serve North Kohala, and
Hawaii Electric Light's plans for a clean energy future.
C. Review and make a motion to approve the updated project proposals from
last year for inclusion in Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and forward
recommendations to the director.
D. Review and make a motion to approve the letter to the director regarding the
request for the Action Committee to resume meeting monthly.
E. The Action Committee will discuss action steps for Strategy 4.9 of the
NKCPD: Increase Awareness of Healthcare Services in Kohala.

�. Public access to coastal areas — updates on trails and access easements:
Akoakoa Point (Bird Cave), Hapu'u — Kapanaia, Halelua, Kauhola
Lighthouse, Pahoa Beach, Latitude 20 Holdings, Kaiholena Lot F, Kohala
Kai, Kohala Waterfront, and Kohala Shoreline, LLC - (Strategies 2.4-2.6
NKCDP).

Notice: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
working days (prior to meeting date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3
(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other
consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month
period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by
communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15,
Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}

at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the
