Hawai'i Police Commission Meeting Agenda July 15, 2016 Page 2 (CLOSED SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 10:00 A.M.) EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the public.) The commission will meet in executive session to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities; to consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii Police Department; and to consider sensitive matters relating to public safety pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawai'i County Charter Section 13-20 (b). Consultation with Corporation Counsel on the Commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities Consideration and Investigation of Complaints (briefly summarized) ✓ Complaint HPC 16-09: Complainant alleged that an officer caused a dangerous situation when he pulled in front of him, and that the officer had an arrogant attitude. ✓ Complaint HPC 16-11: Complainant complained about the manner in which an officer conducted a traffic stop. ✓ Complaint HPC 16-19: Complainant was involved in a domestic altercation. She alleged that an officer kicked her, and that she was not taken to the hospital. ✓ Complaint HPC 16-24: The Police was called to do a welfare check on the complainant.
