E., 2 Floor PLACE West Hawaii Civic Center 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway AGENDA 09/28/16 CALL TO ORDER KONA CDP MEMBER INTRODUCTION STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON AGENDA ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 1.Minutes of the Meeting of July 27, 2016. 2.Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda (requires six (6) votes, and must comply with HRS § 92-7) 3.Communications sent: Draft Minutes from the July 27, 2016 Action Committee Meeting were sent to AC members and the Planning Director PRESENTATION(S) TO ACTION COMMITTEE 1.Update on the status of the revised FEMA FIRM Maps: Kiran Emler, Civil Engineer V with the County of Hawaii – Department of Public Works – Engineering Division will provide an update on the status of the revised FEMA FIRM Maps. 2.County Highway Priorities: Ronald Thiel, Civil Engineer VI with the County of Hawaii – Department of Public Works – Traffic Division will discuss the priorities of our highways. Action Committee will review the sub-committee reports, SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS: recommended motions and discussion items to place on the next meeting agenda for action. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ANNOUNCEMENTS 1.Next meeting Wednesday, November 30, 2016, Kona Planning Department Conference Room, WHCC ADJOURNMENT The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to Notice: be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five working days (prior to meeting date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged Duane Kanuha PLANNING DIRECTOR
