PLACE: West Hawai‘i Civic Center nd Planning Department Conference Room – Building E, 2 Flr. 74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Highway Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i, 96740 CALL TO ORDER KONA CDP MEMBER INTRODUCTION STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON AGENDA ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 1. Minutes of the Meeting of September 28, 2016. 2. Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda (requires six (6) votes, and must comply with HRS § 92-7)ʻ 3. Communications sent: Draft Minutes from the September 28, 2016 Action Committee Meeting were sent to AC members and the Planning Director 4. Communications sent: Recommendation Letter regarding FEMA FIRM Map Revisions to the Planning Director, the Director of Public Works and the nine members of the County Council. Open discussion on the County of Hawaii General Plan Public Meeting and Technical Workshop. BUSINESS OF COMMITTEE: ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION 1. Open discussion of Action Committee members on CIP items. 2. Open discussion of Action Committee members on information gathered from the community. 3. Discussion of how the Action Committee is to move forward. SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS: Action Committee will review the sub-committee reports, recommended motions and discussion items to place on the next meeting agenda for action. Next meeting Wednesday, November 30, 2016, Kona Planning Department Conference Room, WHCC ADJOURNMENT Notice: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Kona Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five working days (prior to meeting date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged Duane Kanuha PLANNING DIRECTOR
