Lisa Ferentinos with the University of Hawai‘i Sea Grant College Program will provide the Action Committee with the status of the Waiʻulaʻula Watershed project. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS 2. Minutes of the Meeting of September 26, 2016 3. Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda (requires six (6) votes, and must comply with HRS § 92-7(d)) BUSINESS OF COMMITTEE 1. Reports. Action Committee will review submitted reports and recommended motions and discussion items to place on the next meeting agenda for action. a. Liaison Reports 1. Kawaihae – Diane Kanealiʻi will provide the AC with a status update on the activities and actions identified by the Kawaihae Liaison Group in the 2012 PowerPoint presentation for the Kawaihae district. 2. Waikoloa – Mark & Julia – Reports by Mark, Julia, John regarding orientation meeting that they attended with the Waikoloa Liaison Group (the Waikoloa Leadership Council) www.cohplanningdept.com Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer planning@co.hawaii.hi.us 2. Diane Kanealiʻi will discuss a motion to have the Chair Write 2 letter. The first to the Current Mayor to thank him and the second to the incoming Mayor to welcome him into office. 3. Jojo Tanimoto will lead a discussion with the Action Committee to modify the Action Committee Letterhead to include the names of the Committee Members. 4. Jojo Tanimoto will lead a discussion with the Action Committee to have staff list all the new CIP proposed projects going forward in the Resource Section on the South Kohala CDP section on the website as they are reviewed and approved for submission to the various County Departments for their review and action. 5. Update/Discussion of Agenda Items by Council Members: District 1 – Valerie Poindexter and District 9 – Margaret Wille STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA ANNOUNCEMENTS  Next Meeting January 23, 2017 – Waimea – Lilly Yoshimatsu Senior Center (Waimea Senior Center) ADJOURNMENT Notice: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the South Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged PLANNING DIRECTOR Duane Kanuha
