Petition No. 2016-20: Initial review of petition alleging that a County officer <br />or employee is in violation of Sections 2-83 (Fair Treatment) and 2-84 <br />(Conflict of Interest) of the Hawaii County Code of Ethics because he used <br />his position to influence further private interest regarding a contested case <br />hearing. (Participating by telephone) <br />b. Petition No. 2017-01: Request for an informal advisory opinion from a County <br />officer or employee, to determine compliance with Section 2-83(c)(1) of the <br />Hawaii County Code because her husband is an independent contractor who <br />would like to submit a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Office of Housing and <br />Community Development. <br />C. Petition No. 2017-02: Request for an informal advisory opinion from a County <br />officer or employee, to determine if there would be a conflict of interest with his <br />position in the Finance Department and his retirement stock holdings with the <br />Bank that the County of Hawaii has accounts with. (Closed hearing requested) <br />d. Petition No. 2017-03: Request for an informal advisory opinion from a County <br />officer or employee, to determine compliance with Section 2-83(c)(1) of the <br />Hawaii County Code because her husband is an independent contractor who <br />would like to submit a bid with Department of Water Supply. <br />
